A New Year

Who else is having a hard time wrapping their head around the fact that January is already FINISHED!?

Last week, unsurprisingly, I found myself reflecting, weighing all the ways in which I spent the first month of the year. I have made progress on many of the wishes I have for myself, but still found areas that I wanted to place more attention on… writing was one of them.

I have been a consistent journal keeper for years, but kept having this desire to share more words in a public format. In small doses Instagram captions satisfied me, but not completely. I began asking myself if there was a way to incorporate more writing into what I was currently doing. I saw friends like Veronica Viccora releasing weekly newsletters via email, and Wini Lao providing quarterly career updates. I was inspired, and when I (shamelessly) saw a new template on “Squarespace” that showed an actor’s portfolio being broadcast in a blog format, I thought to myself maybe this is easy after all.

So, with February off to a strong start, here are some of my renounced goals for 2024 (and accomplishments thus far):

  1. I now have a blog space.

Here you will find career updates, more behind-the-scenes deets, and personal interests. My hope is to educate and inform by offering a broader range of content to you.

  2. The aforementioned blog space may become a quarterly newsletter.

Highlighting jobs throughout the year and creating a timeline for my work is something that excites me. I see this as an opportunity to market myself and look back at my growth with pride.

  3. I have updated my website.

In addition to adding a “blog” section, I went through and updated my bio, client list, and portfolio pictures. As always, I am extremely proud of the work I get to do and look forward to communicating this more with you.

Thank you so much for all your support. I love hearing from you via social media and cannot wait to connect with you more this year. Your questions, comments, and feedback are a huge driver behind what I release so please let me know what you think.

With love,

Daina
